Grant for research on AI and the Right to Health

Uppsala University will embark on a joint project with Lund University, Faculty of Law to examine how AI challenges the existing legal and ethical norms that regulate healthcare, and how they need to be enhanced or revisited to ensure that the right to health in Sweden is safeguarded.
The project “AI and Automated Systems and the Right to Health – Revisiting law accounting for the exploitation of users preferences and values” is funded by the Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation and the Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg Foundation and will run from 1 January 2021 until 31 December 2025.
Uppsala University is represented by Santa Slokenberga, lecturer in Administrative Law at Faculty of Law, and Jennifer Viberg Johansson, Postdoc in Medical sciences at Center for Research Ethics and Bioethics. The project is lead by Ana Nordberg, Associate senior lecturer at the Department of Law, Lund University.
