• Articles (The articles are used to highlight certain aspects of management accounting and to bring more dept to the litterature, thus elevating it to a more advanced level.)
• Merchant, Kenneth A.; Van der Stede, Wim A., Management control systems: performance measurement, evaluation and incentives, 2nd ed., Harlow, Financial Times Prentice Hall, 2007 (The Merchant & Stede book is more a basic than advanced text book and should be used to get the underlying basics to most topics discussed in this course. This means that if you master the basics very well you might not need this book. If you master the basics but have forgotten some of it, it might be a good idea to recap some topics in this book before you get into the other literature. If you do not feel that you master the basics in management accounting and control very well, it is recommended to read this book before reading the other literature.)
