About the course
The course provides knowledge about conventional optimisation approaches. The course covers exact and approximate optimisation methods and their applications for solving real-life problems. Specific focus will be given to formulating industrial problems as (non-) linear mathematical optimisation models and solving these models using existing software tools. The use and importance of meta-heuristic algorithms for solving complex problems will also be discussed in this course.
