Learning outcomes
After completion of the course the student should
- have acquired basic knowledge in geophysical principles and
- independently be able to apply geophysical methods to solve geological problems connected to natural resources and the environment.
Content
Geophysical techniques including seismic, electrical, electromagnetic, gravity, magnetic and radiometric methods, their principles, applications, and instrumentation. Case studies.
Instruction
Lectures, seminars, laboratory work, assignments and field work.
Assessment
Written examination at the end of the course. Obligatory field and laboratory exercises. Grades based upon the written examination (4 ECTS-credits) and assignments (1 ECTS-credits).
