General provisions
The course is included in the Radiology Technition programme, term 4, and includes 7.5 credits for theory.
Entry requirements
Passed courses from term 1 as well as 15 credits from term 2.
Learning outcomes
After the Scientific method course, student should be able to:
- Describe different parts of the research process and statistical methods at a basic level
- Understand and describe as well as concretise scientific concepts, research-ethical principles, common examples of statistical tables and compilations.
- Understand, describe and use scientific articles as references, which comprises searching and identifying relevant scientific articles. Also, to be able to summarise and refer to those scientific articles.
- Understand and describe as well as use his/her knowledge in scientific method and statistics in article reviewing and developing assignments.

Instruction

Assessment
Examination is done continuously throughout the course in form of written and oral assignments both individually and in groups. All the components of the course and a written final examination must be approved before the course is completed.
