Other directives

Student that has failed examination has the right to go through renewed examination four times (= total five examinations). After five failed examinations, the student can lose his guaranteed place in the education. The undergraduate education committee however may, if special circumstances apply, admit the right to additional examination. Every time the student participates in an examination counts, i.e. also submission of a so called blank exam. Submission of so called "blank" exam is counted as examination. According to chapter 6, section 22 of the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100) the student have the right on request to change examiner after two failed examinations. The undergraduate education committee has determined that the following principles of handling of failed examinations should apply: that the student should, to participate in the fourth examination trial, submit a written application to the director of studies/course directors. Director of studies/course directors should then together with the student analyse the situation and when necessary offer support efforts in order to optimise the students preparations before examination. Failed parts/examinations should be completed and passed latest within the framework of the following course in order for the student to be able to continue his/her education without interruption. Exemption - if there are special reasons the student may request for exemption (decision by the programme committee).

Registration of personal data Ordinance of studies etc. At the university and university colleges (THE SWEDISH STATUTE BOOK 1993: 1153) certain student data will be registered. The student has the right to obtain extracts from the personal register (according to the Computer law 1973:289) regarding information that concerns him/her.
