Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student is expected to be able to
1. Describe and identify anatomical structures in the central nervous system (brain, spinal cord), skull/face/throat, thorax, abdomen, back and extremities.
2. Describe and explain what kind of contrast is used in different examinations and how it influences the images.
3. Identify the contraindications and explain how adverse side effects can be prevented and which treatment is given at a contrast reaction.
4. Describe and explain the basics in nuclear medicine diagnostics.
5. Identify the anatomy and the basics in pathology within breast diagnostics.

Assessment
The course is completed with a written examination. Student failing examination the first time is allowed 4 re-examinations (in total 5 examinations).
