Entry requirements
120 credits with 60 credits science studies including an introductory course in human computer interaction. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.
Learning outcomes
The overall purpose of the course is to provide
insight into various methods and techniques of IT
usage in health care.
Content
Medical documentation and electronic patient records, image analysis and processing techniques, image capturing techniques, medical standards, medical terminology, modelling and simulation as a tool for diagnosis and therapy, medical knowledge representation and decision support, user interfaces in health care, telemedicine.
Instruction
Lectures, study visits and assignments.
Assessment
Project work and minor written examination.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the disability coordinator of the university.
