Entry requirements
60 credits in Earth Science including 1GV003 Rocks and Quaternary deposits 15 credits or equivalent qualifications
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- observe and document relationships in the field
- discuss and argument for different interpretation based om field observations
- discuss field relationships/observations in a professional manner
- report the observations by writing, orally and by illustrations
Content
Field exercises, excursions, study visits. The course forms an element in the internationalisation of undergraduate education. Training in documentation in writing and illustration of field relationships.
Instruction
Teaching in groups in the field, excursions, seminars
Assessment
A written or verbal report is required following the instructions.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the disability coordinator of the university.
Other directives
The course could cause costs for travel and accommodation. If a student is not willing to participate an alternative education is offered.
