General provisions

The course is elective and is included in the specialist nursing programme with focus on surgical care. The contents of the course build further on the contents of previous courses and joint contents of scientific method The course can be carried out within the framework of international exchange programme.

Instruction

Individual independent degree project supported by web-based teaching, supervision individually and in seminars and literature studies

The degree project is discussed at a specific seminar with student reviewers and in the presence of an examiner

Assessment

Examination takes place in the form of oral and written presentations of the project plan and degree project and approved participation in seminars. The student shall with approved result:

- prepare a project plan for a degree project

- carry out an independent degree project

- as author of the written scientific work defend his/her own degree project

- as an opponent review other student's degree project critically
