Can we design digital ecosystems for sustainable societal transition? Gabriel Söderberg, Associate Professor at the Department of Economic History and affiliated researcher at UUniCORN, will address the topic at UUniCORN’s first breakfast seminar of the spring.
Sustainable development is the prime example of a “wicked problem” where multiple goals seem to conflict with each other.
At the same time, several new digital technologies are emerging as promising tools to navigate these goal conflicts: digital and programmable currency, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT).
At this breakfast seminar, you will hear Gabriel Söderberg present his initiative aimed at bringing together leading international thinkers, researchers, and practitioners at the intersection of digital transformation and sustainable societal transition to develop a shared research agenda on how digital transformation can be used to promote sustainable development.
