Necessary cookies
For the website to work properly, we need to keep track of your session. The website also uses a necessary cookie to save your choice regarding which cookies you allow. These cookies are called:
- JSESSIONID (deleted when you close your browser).
- SitevisionLTM (deleted when you close your browser).
- sv-cookie-consent (deleted after 1 year).
No personal information is stored in these cookies.
Functional cookies
ReadSpeaker
ReadSpeaker is a technology that reads out text on web pages for you. It can also translate and read aloud in another language. ReadSpeaker uses two cookies:
- _rspkrLoadCore: set when you click the ‘Listen’ button, makes the text-to-speech start more quickly on the next page (deleted when you close your browser).
- ReadSpeakerSettings: saves your preferences, such as reading speed, so you don’t have to set them again on every new page (deleted after a few days).
If you do not accept these two cookies, the ReadSpeaker icon will not appear and you will not be able to use the technology.
Marketing cookies
Google Tag Manager loads Google Ads tags to measure the effectiveness of digital advertising for our courses, for example, to see whether an advert leads to visits to specific pages on the website. They are not used for general web analytics or to identify individual users.
The following cookies are used by Google Ads for this purpose:
- _gcl_au: used by Google Ads to track clicks on adverts and improve conversion statistics (deleted after approximately 3 months).
- IDE: used by Google to measure and report interactions with adverts (part of Google’s advertising system; deleted after approximately 13 months).
- test_cookie: checks whether the browser accepts cookies (deleted after a short time).
These cookies are used to understand the performance of our advertising and to improve how we measure it. No personal information is stored in the cookies, and we do not use them to target adverts at you.

On pages containing embedded YouTube videos, the following cookie is required to play the content:

Web analytics
The website uses the Siteimprove analytics tool to get a picture of how visitors use the site. The purpose is to improve the content, navigation and structure of the website. The analytics tool does not use cookies and no personal information is stored.
Avoiding cookies
If you do not wish to accept cookies, you can set your browser to automatically refuse the storage of cookies or to notify you each time a website requests permission to store a cookie. In that case, you will see a brief explanation about cookies every time you load a page.
