The University participates in a variety of partnerships and collaborations intended to contribute to further understanding of needs and solutions to society's challenges.
Partnerships are formed with organisations that are of particular importance for the University's operations.
Uppsala University Hospital – our largest collaboration
In cooperation with Uppsala University Hospital we train more than 3,000 physicians, nurses and other medical staff a year. We conduct world-leading research to create new treatments and solve the puzzles of serious diseases.
National competence centres
Uppsala University leads a number of national competence centres where we conduct research in areas that are important to Sweden’s competitiveness, for instance batteries, solar power and nuclear technology.
International collaborations
Uppsala university aims to strengthen its position as a leading international research university. International collaboration is a means and a strategy for achieving higher quality research and education.
