The necessity of transitioning to a sustainable society is becoming increasingly clear with rising climate change and the loss of biodiversity. At the same time, human health and well-being largely depend on the overexploitation of natural resources. How can this conflict of goals be navigated?

Barn som studerar på en madrass i Gaza.

Welcome to a discussion about the conflict between human health and its dependence on access to fossil energy and natural resources. Is it possible to draw a line for what is “good enough” when it comes to human health? Do we need to transition to a model where sufficiency is the guiding principle, or must we continue striving for “the best possible health for all” to meet the challenges humanity faces? How do we combine cutting-edge medical research with fundamental human rights when resources are finite? How do we integrate and prioritize the health of the planet in relation to societal development? How can we, together, find a way forward?

NB: The seminar will be held in Swedish!
