CEMFOR was inaugurated in January 2017 as a result of Uppsala university’s ambition to strengthen research about ”integration, racism and discrimination”. CEMFOR offers senior and junior scholars as well as doctoral students interested in racism and other facets of discrimination and exclusion a dynamic interdisciplinary environment that is conducive to new research ideas alongside theoretical and methodological reflection and development. Our ambition is to further and promote individual and collaborative research initiatives as well as support future generation of scholars working on critical, interdisciplinary analysis of racism, discrimination and exclusion.
