Research thrives on cooperation

From the very beginning, networking and close collaboration with both national and international stakeholders have been a central part of WOMHER’s activities. For example, WOMHER has for several years collaborated closely with the University of Tübingen, whose International Research Training Group 2804 (IRTG) was established based on WOMHER’s graduate school model. This partnership model is planned to expand globally through additional centres.

WOMHER also regularly participates in international meetings and conferences, and through a robust research network, new projects and collaborations are continuously initiated – all with the aim of deepening knowledge about women’s mental health across disciplines and promoting the societal impact of research.

To disseminate the latest research, several collaborations have also been initiated with organizations and prominent public figures who advocate for women’s mental health at a societal level. In June 2025, WOMHER took part in Almedalsveckan — a public democratic forum — where we teamed up with the research program UPIC and the organization Mind to host two fully booked seminars. Moderators included Ida Höckerstrand and Sofie Hallberg from Ångestpodden – Sweden’s largest podcast on anxiety and mental illness.

Collaborate with WOMHER

Collaboration with WOMHER can take many forms – from individual activities such as lectures and knowledge exchange, to more long-term partnerships.

Do you work with issues related to women’s mental health? Do you represent a government agency, work in the healthcare sector, or operate within a nonprofit organization? Please contact us to discuss potential forms of collaborations.
