The brain

Thanks to our brain, we can plan our actions, regulate emotions and solve complex problems. The brain also holds both positive and negative memories. But what happens when it malfunctions? For example, in the case of Alzheimer’s disease, head injuries or depression?

Complex organ

Our brain is made up of 100 billion neurons, each of which communicates with an average of 10,000 other neurons.

The brain in the picture was made by Master’s student Dunya Alzanbouri and her classmate. They produced it in the Advanced Neurobiology course.
