Military operations on Gotland

Between 16 and 22 September, the Swedish Armed Forces and other NATO units will be conducting a military operation on land, at sea and in the airspace around Gotland.

The operation will be most noticeable in and around Visby Harbour on 18 September and Fårösund Harbour from 18 to 20 September. On the morning of 18 September, fighter jets will fly over Visby, which may cause significant noise.

Throughout the operation, there will be an increase in military transport on Gotland's roads.

The operation has been planned for some time and is not directly linked to any current security-related events.
