Abstract: In this talk, we explore the definition and properties of weak solutions for the degenerate Kolmogorov equations, focusing on the kinetic Fokker-Planck equation. The degeneracy inherent in this equation introduces additional challenges in establishing boundary regularity. I will introduce the concept of weak traces and present a boundedness result for the solutions through classical De Giorgi iteration techniques.
