UDC Doctoral Research project presented at international conference

Between March, 29th and April 1st, 2023, Uppsala Diabetes Centre doctoral candidate Maria Ovezik (Phillipson Lab, Dept. of Medical Cell Biology, Uppsala University) presented the UDC-funded research project on The role of Immune cell-microbial interactions for long-term islet function and glucose homeostasis at the European Phagocyte Workshop in Budapest, Hungary.

Between March, 29th and April 1st, 2023, Uppsala Diabetes Centre doctoral candidate Maria Ovezik (Phillipson Lab, Dept. of Medical Cell Biology, Uppsala University) presented the UDC-funded research project on The role of Immune cell-microbial interactions for long-term islet function and glucose homeostasis at the European Phagocyte Workshop in Budapest, Hungary. 

This is the first time that a UDC doctoral research project is presented at an international conference and the Uppsala Diabetes Centre would like to congratulate Maria and her main supervisor Prof. Mia Phillipson. We also thank Maria and Mia for their contribution to the UDC’s international renown.
