Short presentation
This text is not available in English, therefore the Swedish version is shown.
I use sequencing and comparative genomics of insect associated bacterial symbionts in order to elucidate the evolutionary forces that shape these organisms and to find the underlying genetic components that are important for the interaction between the symbiotic partners. I also investigate the evolutionary impact of symbionts on their host via transcriptomics, comparative transcriptomics and genomics.
I am currently the Programme director of the Master programme in Bioinformatics.
