Short presentation

Carl Fredrik Bergström is professor of European Law and Law Faculty Dean. The central areas of his research are EU constitutional system and legal methods. His recent research focus is the EU Law Nexus. This is a new collaboration within Uppsala University intended to strengthen research on EU regulation in areas of high societal relevance and technological complexity, most notably Energy Transition, AI and Health, and to provide expertise to research groups working in other scientific fields

Research

Carl Fredrik Bergström has his main field of expertise in EU law, with a focus on inter-relationship to national constitutional law, fundamental principles and system of norms, regulatory behaviour and legal methods. His current research projects are:
