Carl Fredrik Bergström is Professor of European Law and Law Faculty Deputy Dean responsible for research. His main areas of expertise are EU law, constitutional theory and legal methods, and his current research focuses on the right to access documents in Europe and crises' influence on the EU and its member states with a focus on energy.

Biography

Carl Fredrik Bergström is Professor of European Law at Uppsala University since 2010. He has a background as researcher at the European University Institute in Florence (1995-2002), lecturer at Stockholm University (1996-2006) and Head of Legal Research at SIEPS, the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies (2002-2009). Carl Fredrik Bergström is Law Faculty Deputy Dean responsible for research (2023-).

Research

Carl Fredrik Bergström has his main field of expertise in the law of the European Union, with a focus on inter-relationship to national constitutional law, fundamental principles and system of norms, regulatory behaviour and legal methods. His current research projects are the following:
