Short presentation
PhD student and member of the research group Health Services Research, with an interest in public administration and healthcare governing.
Research
In my dissertation project I will investigate different forms of national steering and policy instruments used in relation to the healthcare system, with a specific focus on how steering works given its decentralized nature. This will be important, not least for our understanding of the handling by different stakeholders of the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, the aim is to explore how policy instruments, and more specifically that of agreements between the national government and Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR), are evolving over time. The change towards more targeted state grants and an increasing number of agreements has caused discontent in the regions and is important to study in order to understand how national healthcare governing can be improved.
