Short presentation
Daniel Hedlund is Associate Professor in Sociology of Law and senior lecturer in Administrative Law with a focus on social legislation. He conducts multidisciplinary research and mainly teaches Social and Welfare Law. Daniel is interested in the legal, political and institutional challenges facing the welfare state, specifically in connection to human rights, migration, children's rights, minorities and integration.

Biography
Associate Professor in Sociology of Law (2022). Senior lecturer in Administrative Law with a focus on social legislation, Department of Law, Uppsala University, since 2025.
Before joining Uppsala, Daniel was senior lecturer in Social Work with a focus on Administrative Law at Stockholm University (2022-2025). Prior to that, he held two consecutive postdoctoral positions; in Migration Law (Uppsala University, 2019-2021) and within the cross-faculty initiative Children, Migration, Integration (Stockholm University, 2017-2019).
