Short presentation
My research focuses on investigating advanced materials for applications in fusion energy, smart windows, and nanoelectronics using energetic ion beams as the main tool. I am interested in understanding the formation and modification of these materials with a specific focus on in-situ and real-time experiments, as well as fundamental aspects related to ion-matter interactions.

Research
i) Investigation of mechanisms related to materials modification from plasma-wall interactions of fusion reactors using ion beams as main tool.
ii) Investigation of physicochemical properties of surfaces and thin films on semiconductor structures with high relevance for applications in micro and nano electronics.
iii) Application of ion beam-based techniques to obtain detailed characterization of materials.
