Research

Using interaction analysis, I examine everyday human interaction in very fine detail, focusing on joint decision-making; how both verbal and embodied resources are used in interaction to align with, transform, or resist suggestions made. The thesis moves in the borderlands of our spoken languages and embodiment.

Research interests: interaction/conversation analysis, multilingualism, Estonian, atypical interaction, and pedagogy. I am very interested in what it means to be human, and in how and why we look for knowledge about life and the world we share.
