Short presentation

in 2020 I finished and received my MSc in Pharmacy from Vilnius University, Lithuania, and started as a PhD student in 2022 in the Translational Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics (tPKPD) group. My research project focuses on understanding pharmacokinetic mechanisms of microtubulin-targeting agents (MTAs) in relation to the development and prevention of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN).

Biography

Title: MD in Pharmacy

Position: PhD student

Research area: Translational Pharmacokinetics Pharmacodynamics

Research interest: My research focuses on the better understanding of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) development and prevention in patients, receiving microtubulin-targeting agents (MTAs) or MTA-antibody-drug-conjugates (ADCs) for their cancer treatment. I focus on the extent of transport to CIPN-specific sites in CNS, PNS and skeletal muscle of unbound MTA concentration. I perform in vivo and in vitro experiments as well as use mathematical modelling approach to systematically evaluate differences between MTAs in relation to their tubulin binding properties.

Collaborations: I work together with Irena Loryan, Lena Friberg, Stina Syvänen, Margareta Hammarlund-Udenaes and Jolanta Gulbinovic (from Vilnius University).
