Short presentation
My research sits at the intersection of international relations, security studies and criminology, with an empirical focus on the U.S.–Mexico border. My background includes prior studies and professional experience from Mexico, as well as Brazil.
During spring 2026, I am affiliated with Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, and their seguridad civil program.

In my dissertation I look at transnational security governance in the U.S.–Mexico border region, with a particular focus on the crime - security nexus and the current Mexican security landscape.
