Short presentation

Krisztina Juriga-Tóth is a biochemical engineer who received her PhD diploma in theoretical medicine from Semmelweis University, Hungary in 2023. Her PhD dissertation focused on developing different polymer-based nanofibrous systems and scaffolds for tissue engineering and drug delivery implants.

Keywords

  • electrospinning
  • tissue regeneration
  • scaffold
  • drug delivery
  • wound dressing

Research

Her current postdoctoral research projects at TelekiLab aim to

  • design hybrid inorganic-polymer drug delivery scaffolds by the combination of electrospinning and 3D printing technologies for the regeneration of periodontal tissue in local periodontitis treatment
  • design nanoparticle-containing wound dressings with antimicrobial capacity
