Katrin is a visiting researcher at the Department of Earth Sciences, Uppsala University, specializing in glaciology and polar ice–ocean interactions. Her research focuses on understanding basal melting beneath Antarctic ice shelves and its contribution to global sea level rise. She leads a Formas-funded project within the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat’s iQ2300 initiative.
