Biography

Lecturer in philosophy of religion at the Department of Theology, Uppsala University, since 2012, promoted to professor of Philosophy of Religion in 2023. I defended my dissertation at the same department in 2002 with the thesis Forces by Which We Live: Religion and Religious Experience from the Perspective of a Pragmatic Philosophical Anthropology and was accepted in 2011 as unpaid docent at the same institution. 2005-2009 I worked as a senior lecturer in philosophy at the University of Agder, Kristiansand. My research interests mainly concern American pragmatism (both classical pragmatism and neopragmatism) and the opportunities it offers to reflection on philosophical problems actualized by the human phenomenon of religion, e.g. questions about the role of religion in the public sphere, religious experience and moral criticism of religion.
