Globisch Group

Picture describing the research in Daniel Globisch group. To the left: Three test tubes with coloured content on background of bacteria. To the right: A mass spectrometer surrounded by chromatograms and mass spectra. In between: A flow of particles and molecules from the bacteria and test tubes towards the mass spectrometer.

Biomarker discovery, chemical biology, organic chemistry, mass spectrometry, and metabolomics

Biomarker discovery is a challenging and multidisciplinary task. We develop new tools for mass spectrometric analysis of complex samples and are focussed on elucidating microbiota metabolism. We investigate any human sample type, e.g. fecal, urine, and plasma samples from pancreatic cancer patients.
