Description

The project develops the theory of epistemic projects and includes several sub-studies, including the contribution of brain research to understanding different types of dependencies (substances, gambling, etc.). During the period 2023-2025, it focuses on how agency and marginalized groups are epistemically shaped in policies concerning alcohol and drugs. The researchers in the study are also contributing to an anthology on the medicalization of addiction and substance abuse, edited by Australian researchers. In 2022 a book was published in Palgrave STS-sociology series (Hellman & colleagues 2022)
