The Linnaeus Garden is the perfect place to find peace and quiet in central Uppsala. The garden and the museum are well worth a visit whether you are a garden lover as well as historians.

The orangery is the perfect venue for private or business events in a historic environment.

Eating and drinking

Café Carl von Linné offer lunch, coffee and other refreshments at our outdoor seating area. They strive to use organic and locally produced ingredients.

Enjoy a lovely cup of coffee or a good and healthy lunch at the new garden café. The food and sweets are made from Swedish products most of which are organic and locally produced. Good meals require good ingredients!

The café is open daily from the beginning of May to the end of September.

Museum shop

Our museum shop offers presents and souvenirs related to Linnaeus, the 18th century, botany, and gardening.

Flowery gifts and Linnaeus' writings

In the museum shop of the Linnaeus Garden you will will find cards, posters and gifts with motifs from Olof Rudbeck’s and Carl Linnaeus’s days as well as works of contemporary Swedish botanical illustrators. We provide seeds, and much more if you want to increase the biodiversity in your garden. In the Linnaeus Garden shop, we stock literature about Carl Linnaeus and his science.

The shop is open maj-september, same hours as the museum.

Flowery gifts

We offer gifts for representation to companies and organisations. We cannot offer this service to private persons. For more information, please contact museum shop manager Anna Backman tel +46-70-167 97 82.

Venues and corporate events

The orangery in the Linnaeus Garden

You can book the Orangery in the Linnaeus Garden for special occasions, such as weddings, disputation parties, birthdays and business, throughout the year.

Inthe 18th century, when Carl Linnaeus’ was director of the Garden, the building was used as an orangery.

Hambergs Catering is our catering partner of the Orangery in the Linnaeus Garden.

You can combine your party or event with an introduction to or a tour of the garden or museum.
