Fire and evacuation
The English Park Campus is equipped with an automatic fire and evacuation alarm. The evacuation alarm is triggered either automatically via smoke/heat detectors, a triggered sprinkler or by pressing a fire alarm button.
Evacuation is via the stairwells and through the doors leading out of the building. There are guidance markings and, in the event of a power failure, emergency lights are switched on in stairwells and walkways to the escape routes. Lifts may not be used in connection with evacuation.
If you discover a fire, you should act according to Save - Warn - Alert - Extinguish.
The assembly point is located in the Carolina Park
Fire extinguishing
In some parts of the campus there is a water sprinkler system. This is triggered by the exposure of each nozzle to heat and is triggered individually.
Manual fire extinguishers are placed at strategic locations around the building on each floor. The locations are marked with signs.

If a door is not closed properly, a warning signal will sound until the door is closed.
Lift alarm
At the English Park Campus there is an emergency signal button to use in case the lift gets stuck. The lift is also equipped with an emergency telephone that is directly connected to an alarm centre.
