Parking spaces for disabled visitors are located next to entrances A11, B1, C2 and C11.
Charging stations for electric cars are located next to entrance A11.
Parking fees
- Parking is ticketless.
- Payment for parking can be made via SmartParking’s own app, SmartPark, by text message, or via the EasyPark app.
- SmartPark does not charge an additional administration fees, whereas using EasyPark comes with a 15 per cent surcharge.
- Most of the ticket machines on campus will be removed.
Ticket prices from 23 March 2026:
06:00–18:00, 20 SEK per hour, every day
18:00-06:00 10 SEK per hour, every day
15-hour ticket: 80 SEK every day (from your chosen start time)
Employee/Student (with digital sticker)*):
30-day monthly ticket (06:00–18:00) 950 SEK
Monthly subscription with automatic renewal: 950 SEK
*You will identify yourself using a digital sticker (“Student, Uppsala University”), which can be purchased free of charge via the Smartpark app docx, 50 kB. and on their website.

The car parks are owned by Akademiska Hus and managed by the parking company Smart Parkering AB.

Frequently asked questions about the transition from AIMO Park to Smart Parkering AB
From 23 March 2026, Smart Parkering AB will be responsible for
parking operations at the car parks located at BMC.
Monthly ticket / Monthly subscription
- To purchase a 30-day ticket or a monthly subscription, you must still be able to prove your status as an employee or student at Uppsala University.
- A 30-day ticket expires automatically after 30 days. Monthly season tickets for unreserved seats are automatically renewed on a monthly basis.
- Identification is carried out using a digital sticker. You will be issued with a personalised code, which will be distributed via Uppsala University’s channels. As a student, you can find this code here on BMC’s Student Portal, uu.se/en/student/campus/uppsala-biomedical-centre/service-and-support/parking
- Using the code, you can purchase a free digital sticker via the SmartPark app docx, 50 kB. or on the Smart Parking website. As a student of Uppsala University, you will receive a code that can only be used to purchase the ‘Student, Uppsala University’ sticker.
- The sticker entitles you to purchase a 30-day ticket or a
monthly subscription for unreserved parking. Without the sticker, you can only purchase hourly parking tickets or a 15-hour parking ticket. - The sticker is valid for a certain period, and once this period has expired, a new sticker must be purchased using the code valid at that time. The code will be changed every six months. The code must not be shared with others.

Appeal a parking fine
Contact Smart Parkering to appeal. This can be done easily via the QR code on the parking fine, where you can also access photos and information regarding the fine. You can also email overklagan@smartp.se or call 0771 80 88 80.
