The Uppsala University Alumni Network is a global network for all former students and staff members of Uppsala University. The network offers you a way to keep in touch with the university and former classmates, as well as opportunities to meet new friends and give back to your Alma Mater. To date, over 36,000 alumni in more than 150 countries have chosen to become members.
Maria Gunther Axelsson is Alumnus of the Year 2026
The Alumnus of the Year 2026 award is presented to Maria Gunther Axelsson for her pivotal role in advancing public understanding of science and promoting research-based knowledge in the face of disinformation.
The one-million goal achieved!
Between April 2025 and June 2026, Uppsala University carried out the “Traces of Knowledge” fundraising initiative to restore the original furnishings of Carolina Rediviva’s historic reading rooms to their former glory.
Global Alumni Day
On 7 October 2025, Uppsala University's birthday, over 1000 alumni across 64 cities in 46 countries joined in the festivities by taking part in Global Alumni Day, an international celebration of the university’s far-reaching community. Global Alumni Day will be arranged again in 2027.
