About the Uppsala University Alumni Network
The Uppsala University Alumni Network is a global network for all former students and staff members of Uppsala University. The network offers you a way to keep in touch with the University and former classmates, as well as opportunities to meet new friends and give back to your alma mater. To date, over 30 000 alumni in more than 150 countries around the world have chosen to become members.
Who can join?
Membership of the Alumni Network is free and anyone who has studied (minimum 5 credits) or worked at the University is welcome to join. Honorary doctors and visiting researchers are also welcome.

WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN THE NETWORK?
As a member of the Alumni Network, you will regularly receive current news about research, education and what is happening at the University via Uppsala University’s newsletter and magazine. You will also receive other topical information and offers as well as invitations to events at the University and from the alumni associations you choose to join.
By becoming a member and providing us with your current contact information, you allow us to contact you with relevant invitations and offers. You will always be welcome on our campuses or at one of our many events all over the world (link to calendar).
By joining one or more of the alumni associations and chapters in the network, you can also stay in touch with your friends and other alumni.
Alumni associations and chapters
The network includes numerous alumni associations and alumni chapters that offer their members professional networking opportunities, lectures and speaker events, Valborg celebrations, company visits and other activities.
If there is no association or chapter that is suitable for you, we would be happy to help you arrange an alumni get-together, or to establish a new alumni group, in your hometown. Contact us if you would like to start an alumni association or chapter.
Get involved
In addition to the Alumni Network being a way to stay in touch, it gives you opportunities to contribute in different ways.
Our alumni are our ambassadors and help us spread Uppsala University’s knowledge and values around the world. The alumni give back generously and contribute to their alma mater. Many are active and committed members of alumni associations and chapters. Some help us design our degree programmes and courses, contribute as guest lecturers or help our students find internships and opportunities for degree projects. Others contribute financially to research, education or cultural projects at Uppsala University.
