Uppsala University Jazz Orchestra (UUJO) is the university’s very own big band, founded in 2004 by the jazz musician, pianist, and trombonist Ulf Johansson Werre. In the spring of 2024, the orchestra welcomed its new artistic director, Erik Tengholm, as Ulf Johansson Werre retired from his position at the university.

Spring program
The spring semester is up and running, and UUJO has already had its first gig of the term — a dance performance at the Winter Promotions Banquet at Uppsala Castle on January 30.
