Important information for your first salary payment

When it is time for your first salary payment, it can be made to either a Swedish bank account or a foreign bank account. Some foreign banks have transaction fees, hence it is recommended that you open a Swedish bank account.

In order to open a Swedish bank account, you first need:

• A Swedish social security number
• A Swedish ID card

When you have your Swedish bank account you have to register the account to be able to get your salary payment. Please see more information from the Payroll unit.

If you need to register a foreign account or if you lack a mobile bank ID, contact the administrator at your department/equivalent
