Welcome to Ångström Laboratory
The Ångström Laboratory is located in the beautiful surroundings at Polacksbacken approximately 3 kilometers south of the city centre of Uppsala. The visiting address is Lägerhyddsvägen 1, 752 37 Uppsala.
How to get here & park
You can easily get here by bus - UL city buses 4 and 12 stop right outside Ångström laboratory at bus stop "Polacksbacken".
If you want to go by bike, there are good bicycle paths to Ångström Laboratory and large bicycle parkings adjacent to the house's entrances.
Car parking (Aimo park) can be found outside the building's southern entrance, as well as outside buildings 17, 18 and 19. At the parking lot by the southern entrance there is parking that suits you if you have reduced mobility. In the same parking lot you will also find our guest parking (the person you are going to meet provides you with a ticket).

Opening hours
Ångström Laboratory's entrance doors are open to visitors weekdays from 7 am to 5 pm.
The reception, which you will find in building 10 next to the main entrance, is open weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm.

If you have reduced mobility
All of Ångström Laboratory's main entrances (one entrance in the southern part of the building and three entrances in the northern part of the building) can be entered through with a wheelchair.
There are elevators in all houses in the main building.
The restaurant, café and library (unmanned) are located on level 0 and are easily accessible with a wheelchair.
It is possible to enter all of the Ångström laboratory's teaching rooms with a wheelchair. The rooms Eva von Bahr, Heinz-Otto Kreiss and Sonja Lyttkens have room for a smaller wheelchair.
If you have a hearing loss
Mobile hearing loop equipment can be borrowed at the reception, which is located near the main entrance in building 10.
If you need to rest during your visit
If you need to rest during your visit, you are welcome to one of our five rest rooms. They are all on level K1. To enter them, you need a card that you borrow from reception.
