New PhDs: Sara Salminen and Matilda Lindberg
The Centre for Gender Research has two new PhDs: Sara E. Salminen and Matilda Lindgren.
Sara Salminen’s dissertation, “unsettling trajectories: thinking queerly with Sámi feminisms, art and archives”, examines the interconnections between gender, sexuality, Sámi Indigeneity and Nordic settler colonialism.
The public defence took place in the Humanities Theatre on 13 February 2026. The opponent was Mathias Danbolt, and the supervisors were Ulrika Dahl, Patricia Lorenzoni and Ina Knobblock.
Matilda Lindgren’s dissertation, “Caring for conception: The ontological politics of gamete donation practices in Sweden”, explores reproductive decision-making in practices of egg and gamete donation.
The public defence took place in the Humanities Theatre on 23 February 2026. The opponent was Ericka Johnson, and the supervisors were Ulrika Dahl, Evangelia Elenis, Jenny Björklund and Maja Bodin.
