Based at Campus Gotland and grounded in the social sciences, the research centre Guto engages in interdisciplinary research to address societal challenges in sustainable development and digitalisation. A central component is collaboration with local businesses, the public sector, and civil society.

The work at Guto is organised around three themes with a focus on interdisciplinary research at their intersections.

The Name Guto
The name Guto refers to the earliest known student at Uppsala University, Olle Johansson from Gotland, who took the name Olaus Johannis Guto.
