Health Economic Policy Advice with Real-World Data (HEPARD)
HEPARD (Health Economic Policy Advice with Real-World Data) is a doctoral network uniting health economics, public health, and advanced data analytics to address persistent health inequalities. The network trains a new generation of researchers in empirical health economics, equipping them with advanced causal inference methods and hands-on experience in evaluating real-world health policies across Europe.
HEPARD addresses the challenge posed by the persistence of large disparities of health outcomes across socioeconomic groups, regions and institutional settings in Europe by integrating health economics, public health, and data science. The network focuses on the causal evaluation of health policies and interventions using observational data, quasi-experimental methods, and machine learning, generating evidence that is both scientifically robust and directly relevant for policymaking.
HEPARD is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network under the EU’s Horizon Europe programme.
