At the Centre for Image Analysis, we promote interdisciplinary collaboration that advances image analysis and its application field. We are hosted at the Department of Information Technology.

Within CBA are numerous collaborators from other departments, universities, and non-academic institutions. Below are some of the collaborating organisations listed.

Analytic Imaging Diagnostics Arena (AIDA) is a Swedish arena for research and innovation on artificial intelligence (AI) for medical image analysis. Here, academia, healthcare and industry meet to translate technical advances in AI technology into patient benefit in the form of clinically useful tools. Researchers associated with CBA are engaged in the Board of AIDA and part of several of its ongoing research projects.

The National SciLifeLab/NMI BioImage Informatics Facility (BIIF) provides support and education in image analysis to life science researchers in Sweden. BIIF has its main node at the Department of Information Technology and has an additional node connected to the School of Computer Science and Communication, KTH.
BIIF staff are very active members of CBA.

The Centre for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences at Uppsala University (CDHU) coordinates the digital transformation of Humanities and Social Sciences across Uppsala University. Researchers associated with CBA are engaged in the Board of CDHU and participate in several of the ongoing research projects at CDHU.

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Mathematics in Uppsala promotes research collaborations between mathematical sciences and other disciplines and industry. The goal is to integrate mathematics and science in order to understand complex systems. A number of the attendees of the CIM graduate school are PhD students in Computerised Image Processing, and active members of CBA. Researchers associated with CBA are engaged in the Board of CIM and take part in several of the CIM's ongoing research projects.

Unique national and international interdisciplinary expertise meets in a Centre for Women’s Mental Health during the Reproductive Lifespan, WOMHER. The Department of Information Technology and CBA contribute to the centre with expertise, projects, as well as involvement in the management group.

MedTech Science & Innovation (MTSI) is a joint centre for medical engineering for Uppsala University and the Uppsala University Hospital. Partners in the centre are the disciplinary domains of Science and Technology, and Medicine and Pharmacy at Uppsala University, and Uppsala University Hospital. Some of the researchers associated with CBA are engaged in the Board of Medtech and also employed by the centre.

Researchers associated with CBA are engaged as application experts, instructors, and as the InfraVis node coordinator from Uppsala University.
