Conditions for users at Uppsala University

To qualify as a user at Uppsala University, you must be employed by or affiliated to the university in a research or teaching position.

Access to free-of-charge services requires application via the SUPR-portal or Uppsala University IT support, as documented elsewhere on this site.

Subsidized services are available to Uppsala university PIs. The disciplinary domains (TekNat, MedFarm, and HumSam), which fund UPPMAX, have agreed to subsidize well-motivated projects up to 100,000 SEK per year, per PI.

Fee-based services incur a starting fee of 10,000 SEK. This fee is waived when the total fee per year exceeds 100,000 SEK.

Availability of fee-based services depends on capacity after allocation of free-of-charge services.

Support is included in all service at no charge.

Conditions for external users

If you are employed at other universities with access to UPPMAX services then the conditions which UU and your employer have agreed upon apply.

Do you represent a university, research infrastructure, or other organisation with an interest in access UPPMAX resources? We offer "Tier-2" HPC services, for example as an entry-level or complement to the SRC-financed NAISS resources. Read more about UPPMAX as Tier-2 HPC.
