Kick-off meeting for the WHOLE Centre at Sigtunastiftelsen

The team for the whole centre

On 17 March 2026, the Interdisciplinary Centre for Women’s Health Over the Lifecourse (WHOLE) held its kick-off meeting at Sigtunastiftelsen. The meeting gathered researchers from Uppsala University and Karolinska Institutet for a formal launch and the initiation of a long-term interdisciplinary collaboration focusing on women’s health at the intersectin of reproductive transitions, mental health and pain.

The programme opened with remarks from the Centre leadership, followed by presentations of new projects by the six work groups. The strengthening av interdisciplinary collaboration and the development of the WHOLE handbook were discussed.

The meeting also included presentations and panel discussions involving people with lived experience, highlighting the importance of integrating patient and public perspectives into research. During the afternoon, participants engaged in parallel group discussions, plenary reflections, discussions on goals and visions and planning of future activities.
