On Tuesday, October 21, from 12:15 to 12:45, Professor George P. Chrousos from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, will present a seminar as part of WOMHER’s seminar series Interdisciplinary ambitions with focus on women’s health.
The seminar will be moderated by Professor Alkistis Skalkidou and followed by a brief Q&A and discussion session (approximately 5–10 minutes).

About the Seminar
The lecture will define stress and psychosomatic resilience, describe the mechanisms through which they affect mental and physical health and accelerate senescence, and explain how to delay and reverse stress-related pathologic and aging processes.
About the Speaker
George P. Chrousos is a globally renowned Greek-American pediatrician and endocrinologist, Professor Emeritus at the University of Athens, UNESCO Chair in Adolescent Health Care, and President of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute. He is the world’s most cited clinical pediatrician and endocrinologist, with pioneering contributions in developmental biology, human growth and development, reproductive health, and family and disability research.
