About Uppsala University Culture & Creativity (UUC&C)

Uppsala University Culture & Creativity (UUC&C) is a collaborative platform where research meets culture and creativity to address local and regional challenges.
The platform serves as a meeting place for researchers, artists, the cultural and creative industries, civil society, public organisations, and the business sector, with the aim of stimulating new collaborations, strengthening knowledge exchange, and developing innovative solutions at the intersection of academia, culture, and society.
The platform offers support within three main areas:
Initiating collaborative projects
The platform creates forums and meeting spaces where researchers and practitioners can come together to identify shared challenges, exchange knowledge and experiences, and develop new ideas and collaborations.
Funding collaborative projects
The platform supports the development of collaborative projects by funding pilot studies and contributing to the preparation of competitive research and collaboration proposals.
Developing long-term collaboration structures
The platform contributes to the development of sustainable structures for research collaboration and strategic partnerships with regional, national, and international actors.
Purpose
The purpose of the Uppsala University Culture & Creativity platform is to develop concrete collaborations that contribute to addressing complex societal challenges and promoting sustainable social development, with culture and creativity as driving forces.
The collaboration platform will promote knowledge exchange and co-creation within and through culture and creativity. It will provide a dynamic environment for meetings between academia, cultural practitioners, the business community, the public sector and civil society actors. The collaboration platform will also promote international exchanges of experience and collaboration. Through this approach, the platform contributes to the development of research and knowledge at Uppsala University through new research challenges, benefits society through collaboration, and leads to more innovations as a result of cooperation.
