Short presentation
I am Associate Professor in Political Science and Senior Lecturer with an orientation towards development studies. My research and teaching are within comparative politics and centres on how democratisation and national identity shapes and is shaped by state-society relation. Empirically, I specialise on Kenya and Uganda. Together with Jesper Bjarnesen, I currently work on Contested Elections and Street Politics where we compare protest coalitions in Africa.
